Aston Villa claimed a huge result in Premier League 2 last night as the U-23 side demolished Stoke City 8-0.
A hat-trick from Jaden Philogene-Bidace as well as braces from brothers Caleb and Carney Chukwuemeka set Villa up for a stunning 8-0 win over Stoke.
The result put Villa top of Premier League 2’s Division Two rankings, with the Birmingham side now sitting ahead of West Bromwich Albion by just a single point in the standings.
Indeed, the Villa Park have one of the most exciting group of youngsters currently coming through at any Premier League club.
As well as the Chukwuemeka brothers and Philogene-Bidace, the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Brad Young and Cameron Archer have all shown plenty of promise.
Archer, in particular, has impressed Villa supporters this season. The teenage striker has already bagged four goals for the first-team this campaign, with the 19-year-old scoring in the League Cup against AFC Barrow and Chelsea.
And last night’s 8-0 win over Stoke was another example of just how talented this group of Villa players are. As you would expect, fans on social media were floored by the result.
