Manchester City fans have caught a sneak glimpse at what kit the club could be wearing next year in the 22/23 season.
As reported by Footy Headlines, the reigning Premier League champions will add a tint of maroon to their sky blue home kit for next year. City have worn the colour before as an away trip in numerous seasons.
However, the 22/23 season will seemingly see City wear shades of maroon on their home kit. The Manchester giants did something similar in the 2019/20 campaign, with a similar colour adorning the sides of the shirt.
Whilst the full design of the jersey is yet to be revealed, City fans on social media are already not pleased with the colouring scheme for the 22/23 home kit.
After all, the 19/20 season, the inspiration behind this shirt, saw City lose out on the Premier League title in embarrassing fashion to Liverpool. The Merseyside club dominated the league that campaign.
And two years later, City fans are still not over that season. Indeed, with the 22/23 home kit seemingly taking inspiration from the campaign, you can understand why some supporters are not pleased with the maroon.
