Everton and Newcastle United are both said to be keen on Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The Toffees are said to be keen on Ozyakup, but Newcastle are hoping to beat them to the Turkish international’s signature.
And Ozyakup would be better off picking Newcastle than Everton, if he wants first-team football.
Everton may have slightly higher ambitions than Newcastle, due to their large transfer budget, but Ozyakup only needs to look at what has happened to many of the Toffees’ summer signings this season to see what could happen to him.

The likes of Sandro, Nikola Vlasic and Davy Klaassen have barely been given a chance to impress at Everton, with the trio all discarded.
Everton also have plenty of options in the number 10 role, with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson able to play there.
At Newcastle, though, Ozyakup would be able to see a clear route into the first-team.

Ayoze Perez may have impressed recently, but there have been some questions over his ability to play regularly at Premier League level.
And Ozyakup would also fit in perfectly with Rafael Benitez’s style.
A tireless worker, Ozyakup would certainly have the attitude to impress at St. James’ Park.
And, given that there is a clear route to the first team on offer, Ozyakup should pick Newcastle over any other Premier League side which may be interested in him in the summer.
