Nikola Katic backed to become a success at Rangers.

After a terrific first two months at Ibrox, the rest of Nikola Katic’s season at Rangers has been disappointing.
Former Ger Lee McCulloch has given the Croatian his backing and has told the Evening Times he is confident Katic will be a success at Rangers.
McCulloch said: “I have no doubts whatsoever that, whether it be this season or takes until next season, he will be a great player for Rangers.”
Katic re-announced himself with a goal in the friendly against HJK Helsinki on Saturday offering a timely reminder of his threat from set pieces.
He began the season in fine form, forging a strong partnership alongside Connor Goldson.

This was disrupted by the emergence of loanee Joe Worrall, and the free agent signing of Gareth McAuley has pushed Katic down to fourth choice.
Katic had a shaky game when recalled away to Spartak Moscow, which highlighted how difficult it can be for a player to sit out for weeks and then be thrown straight back into a big match.
The onus is on the Croatian to be ready, but Rangers must handle him carefully too, and ensure he gets game time as often as possible even if he is not a regular starter, to ensure he is sharp for when he is really needed.
