Rangers beat Ross County 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, with Ibrox new boy Jason Cummings impressing.

Rangers picked up a second win in a matter of days this afternoon, as they beat Ross County 2-1 away from home, with Jason Cummings getting on the scoresheet.

The Gers beat Aberdeen 2-0 in midweek to make a triumphant return from the winter break, and Graeme Murty’s men grabbed another victory today at Victoria Park.

Daniel Candeias gave Rangers the lead in the first half, smashing a long range drive through goalkeeper Aaron McCarey for the opener.

Substitute Jason Cummings came off the bench to slot home his first goal for Rangers, before David N’Gog’s late penalty set up a tense finale, but the Gers held on for all three points.

Manager Murty will be delighted with the win and the performance, but especially the impact of sub Cummings, who sealed the win with his maiden Rangers goal.

The Scottish striker only left Hibernian for Nottingham Forest last summer, but after a frustrating first half of the season, he has joined Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

Rangers fans took to Twitter during and after the game to hail Cummings’ display, suggesting that he offers more than striker Alfredo Morelos and could usurp the Colombian in the Rangers pecking order.

It’s just days since The Scottish Herald reported that Rangers have slapped a £10million asking price on Morelos amid interest from English clubs, but Gers fans slammed his display today, suggesting that replacement Cummings did much more in his limited time on the pitch.
