Leeds were offered Chris Martin in January on loan, so with Derby now willing to sell should they reconsider the striker?

Leeds United are considering signing a striker from Derby County, with the Mirror reporting of their interest in Matej Vydra in a potential £11m deal.
Having top scored in the Championship last season with 21 goals, it is easy to see why the Whites would be keen on Vydra as they look to bolster their squad under new manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has returned to Hamburg after his loan ended and as a result Leeds need support in attack ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

How about another Derby forward?
Yet the same report from the Mirror also says that the Rams are keen to offload Chris Martin, who has immediately been linked with a reunion with former boss Steve McClaren at QPR.
However, the Yorkshire side have been linked with Martin themselves in recent times, with the Yorkshire Evening Post revealing in January that the 29-year-old was offered to them on loan but no deal could be struck because of the Scotland international’s high wages.

On a permanent deal these earnings could be negotiated and while the attacker struggled for goals last term at Pride Park and on loan at Reading, the year before he scored 11 goals for Fulham as a loanee to fire them into the playoffs.
With plenty of experience in the second tier of English football perhaps Martin could be a hit at Elland Road as they target promotion.
