Rangers are willing to sell Ibrox winger Jamie Murphy this summer, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that Dundee United are interested in Rangers winger Murphy and will make a bid for the 30-year-old winger.
Rangers are willing to sell the Scotland international for a cut-price fee, with the winger out of contract at Ibrox at the end of next season, according to the report.
Disappointing Rangers spell
Murphy initially joined Rangers on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2018 and made the move permanent in the summer of 2018.
While the winger did well during his loan spell at Ibrox, since suffering a cruciate knee injury back in August 2018 – as reported by The Scottish Sun – he has struggled to get back in manager Steven Gerrard’s team and spent the second half of the past season on loan at Burton Albion.
Leaving Rangers
Described as “a special player” by Burton defender John Brayford on the club’s official website in February 2020, Murphy would be better off leaving Rangers.
It is hard to see the winger play a big role for the Gers this season, and if United are ready to make him a key figure in their team, then Murphy should seriously consider a switch.
