Real Betis plan to keep Alex Moreno beyond the summer transfer window despite reports linking Premier League outfit Leeds United with the attack-minded left-back, director Angel Haro has told AS.
While Gjanni Alioski and Stuart Dallas both deserve huge credit for the way they adapted to life in the Premier League while playing out of position on the left-hand side, it seems Marcelo Bielsa is now looking to bring in a more natural full-back option.
Brest flyer Romain Perraud – a self-professed ‘hyperactive’ player in the Alioski mould – has been linked with Leeds for a while, alongside a pair of La Liga talents and the Bundesliga’s answer to David Beckham.
Leeds look to lure Moreno from Real Betis
Signing Miguel Gutierrez from Real Madrid may be easier said than done, however, while Betis have moved to distance themselves from reports linking Moreno with a £5 million move to Elland Road.
“We receive many questions about Betis players. We are very happy with (Moreno). The coach (Manuel Pellegrini) is counting on him and he is in the plans for next year,” Haro explains.

“An offer hasn’t arrived that would make us think about his departure.”
In April, TEAMtalk reported Leeds were keen on Moreno, who went on to admit he was aware of interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
The former Rayo Vallecano flyer is allegedly concerned about his role at Real Betis too, having lost his place to Juan Miranda in the second half of the season just ended.
Miranda has now signed on a permanent basis from Barcelona following an impressive loan spell.
