Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after FourFourTwo revealed that the Gunners are monitoring Benfica striker Darwin Núñez.
The Uruguay international is also wanted by Barcelona, Manchester City, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. The latter side are the focus of FourFourTwo‘s report, which states that Zinedine Zidane wants him to replace Luka Jovic.
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form since completing a £21.7 million move to Benfica from Almeria over the summer.
Núñez has scored five goals in 11 appearances for the Portuguese giants, while also recording six assists in all competitions this term.
The Artigas-born centre-forward is fast becoming one of the hottest strikers in Europe, hence the interest in his services from some of the biggest clubs in football.

Additionally, his attractive age suggests he is only going to get better given the many years on his side – Benfica might be in possession of one of the most prodigious forwards in Europe right now.
Mikel Arteta could do with an effective source of goals. The Spaniard’s Arsenal side are struggling to find the net, having scored just ten goals in ten Premier League games this term.

Only three sides in England’s top-flight have netted fewer.
Let’s see how the Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted to FourFourTwo‘s report…
