Paul Merson has praised Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli in The Daily Star for bouncing back from a disappointing spell.
The Brazil international winger is starting to play well again for Arsenal after going through a run of games when the 21-year-old was not having the best of times.
Martinelli is scoring goals again and is back to being a menace for the opposition players.
And former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Merson is impressed.
Paul Merson on Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli
Merson wrote: “Saka is a player that thrives on delivering in big moments. He never scores the fifth goal in a 5-0 win, it’s always an equaliser or one that puts Arsenal ahead.I can’t talk highly enough of the bloke.
“The same applies to Martinelli, who really fell away and went off the boil just a few weeks ago.
“But the way he and Arsenal have bounced back has been nothing short of outstanding, these are still young players but they are stepping up to the plate when it really matters.”

Mentality
In our view, Gabriel Martinelli getting back on form after a few games when he struggled shows the mentality of the Arsenal and Brazil international winger.
That is remarkable for a 21-year-old.
Young players do not always have a high level of consistency.
A dip in form for Martinelli was not really a surprise.
However, the way the forward has bounced back is really laudable.
Perhaps it had to do something with the fact that Leandro Trossard is making an impact whenever he is playing.
The Belgium international winger joined Arsenal from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window.
Trossard is a very good and experienced player, and Martinelli does need to maintain his current high levels to stay ahead of the Belgian in the Arsenal starting lineup.
