Harry Kane has told Joe’s official YouTube channel that ‘we loving having him at Spurs’ after he was asked about Gareth Bale’s future at Tottenham.

Whilst Spurs fans fret over the possibility of losing their star man this summer, after Sky Sports reported that he wants to leave, questions also remain over whether their left-footed Welshman will be in North London come next season.

Bale is due back in Madrid at the end of the current campaign with his loan spell coming to an end, but given that his form has started to pick up in recent months, it would certainly please Spurs fans if both Kane and Bale are lining up for them in 2021/22.

Kane stated that Bale will have to ‘discuss’ his future at both Madrid and Spurs, but made it clear that he loves having him around.

“Who knows,” said Kane. “It’s his decision I think he has one year left on his Madrid contract, so that’s something he’s going to have to discuss.

“But, of course, we love having him at Spurs.”

This is where the already under-fire Daniel Levy will be tested because when it has come to the transfer market he hasn’t really shown the ambition worthy of what has been matched on the pitch by the players.

The season leading up to Spurs reaching the Champions League final, they didn’t spend a single penny despite Mauricio Pochettino doing such a remarkable job.

And whilst Levy will point towards the club moving into a new stadium, the likes of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele were moved on without replacements coming in quick enough.

It has been obvious for some while that they needed fresh faces at centre-back, yet they waited for Jan Vertonghen to leave on a free to bring in a player from the Championship.

Christian Eriksen really hasn’t been replaced and Kane has always been carrying the heavy loads, both under Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and now Ryan Mason.

If Spurs are lining up without the likes of Bale and Kane next season then the finger should firmly be pointed at Levy for how he has run the club during a period where they have showed so much promise.
