Southampton are planning to make a bid for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard to replace Danny Ings, according to The Scottish Sun.
What’s the story?
The Scottish Sun are reporting tonight (10:30pm) that Southampton are going to offer £20 million to Celtic for striker Edouard.
The Saints are looking at the Frenchman as a replacement for English striker Ings, who joined Villa this week.
Southampton have been making calls regarding the 23-year-old and are ready to pay the Hoops’ asking price of £20 million.
However, there is one problem, according to the report.
Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edouard’s wage demands are ‘huge’, and Southampton want him to reduce them.

Could a transfer happen?
Southampton are a big and established club in the Premier League, and Edouard could go straight into the staring lineup.
After all, the Saints need a striker following the departure of Ings to Villa.
Perhaps Edouard should reduce his demands to make a move happen.
If the Frenchman does well for the Saints for two or so seasons, the he could get a move to an even bigger club in the Premier League.
Edouard scored 16 goals and gave three assists in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic last season.
