Paris Saint-Germain-owned forward Odsonne Edouard scored twice for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Celtic Park in the Old Firm derby on Saturday.

Rodgers made the revelation following Edouard’s heroics for Celtic in the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Celtic Park at the weekend.
The 20-year-old forward, who joined the Glasgow giants on a season-long loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, scored twice for the Hoops in their 5-0 win in the Scottish Premiership.
Former Liverpool manager Rodgers has suggested that the French forward could remain at Celtic next season.
Edouard himself is willing to carry on playing for the Glasgow giants, who clinched the league title this season with victory over Rangers at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon.

Rodgers told The Scottish Sun regarding Edouard stay at Celtic next season: “A very, very good chance, hopefully. He wants to be here.
“It will be a case of hopefully getting an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain. We will finish the season and then see where we are with that.”
Edouard told The Scottish Sun: “I love this club, I really love this club. If the decision was up to me I’d like to stay.”

Future at Celtic?
Aforementioned comments from Rodgers and Edouard suggest that the forward is set to remain at Celtic next season.
According to a report in The Daily Mail in January 2018, Celtic will have to pay PSG a transfer fee of £7 million in order to secure the services of the youngster on a permanent contract.
It is quite a lot of money, and if the Glasgow giants have reservations over the transfer fee, then perhaps they should strike another loan deal with PSG.
