Celtic couldn’t find the goal to beat St Johnstone on Sunday.

Celtic endured a frustrating Sunday afternoon as they could only draw 0-0 at home with St Johnstone, days after beating Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 at Celtic Park.
The Bhoys unsurprisingly rotated their side having only played on Thursday night, but were left frustrated as they couldn’t find a way past Alan Mannus in the St Johnstone goal.
Manager Brendan Rodgers was forced to defend his team selection after the final whistle, and one of the players he brought in for the game should feel like he missed a golden opportunity.

Striker Odsonne Edouard was handed just his ninth start of the season in all competitions, leading the line in the absence of Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths as he was handed a chance to shine.
However, the 20-year-old Frenchman offered little in attack for Celtic, with his only notable highlights being a free kick which went wide of the post and a great chance late on which was blocked.
Edouard has managed to score five times in the league this season despite limited starts, but Sunday was a great chance to show that he can fill in for Dembele and Griffiths and win games for Celtic when called upon – but he simply didn’t offer enough in attack.

Celtic face a major decision on Edouard this summer, with the Daily Mail reporting that there is a £7million buyout clause in Edouard’s loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain, which would see Celtic break their transfer record to sign the forward permanently.
Edouard is still developing, and any decision won’t be made on just the one game, but this was a great opportunity for the striker to show he’s worth the money – and he didn’t quite grasp it on Sunday afternoon.
