According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are interested in signing Odsonne Edouard for £5 million and that could turn out to be a bargain for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

It was initially thought that Celtic would have to pay PSG £7 million for the striker, who has spent the season on loan at Parkhead.

But it seems that Edouard is available at an even cheaper price, and that makes the deal look even better for the Bhoys.

Edouard has grown into his role at Celtic this term, and become a key player towards the back end of the campaign.

The 20-year-old showed great pace and power, with his best performances often coming in Old-Firm derbies against Rangers.

Edouard ended the campaign with 11 goals in 29 games, and there is feeling that he could develop into the star of the future at Parkhead.

For £5 million the transfer looks relatively risk free, as Edouard will surely retain some of his value.

And the signing looks like a complete no-brainer for Celtic at the reduced price of £5 million.
