Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is missing Moussa Dembele.

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has told The Herald that he misses Moussa Dembele at Parkhead, feeling he was ‘very important’ personally and to the club.
The Bhoys saw Dembele thrive in Glasgow following a bargain 2016 move, with Brendan Rodgers pouncing to sign him for minimal compensation from Fulham.
Dembele hit 51 goals in 94 games for Celtic whilst proving to be a constant thorn in Rangers’ side, becoming an absolute hero at Parkhead.
However, he decided to move on last summer, as Lyon swooped to lure the Frenchman home in a big-money, deadline-beating move back in August.
This term, Dembele has notched 12 goals and four assists in 26 league games for Lyon, again showing his quality and potential as he attempts to become a star in his homeland.
Dembele’s exit meant that Odsonne Edouard stepped up to be Celtic’s first-choice striker having been in and out of the team last season, but Edouard isn’t exactly celebrating that fact.

Edouard has revealed that he still misses Dembele at Celtic, having previously known each other at Paris Saint-Germain too, believing that he was very important personally and to the club, but he is happy with how he has played in Dembele’s absence this season.
“I miss Moussa. He is a close friend and that was very important to me but he was also very important for the team,” said Edouard. “But these things happen in football and you have to move on – do your best and carry on. I’m happy with my goal tally so far but I’m also never happy with it, if you know what I mean. I always want to do better and there are still a few games to go this season,” he added.
