Speaking on Arsenal’s official Twitter account, Martin Odegaard has been waxing-lyrical about Gabriel Martinelli.

Odegaard was taking part in a Q&A on social media and he was asked who his favourite Brazilian player is in the current squad.

Odegaard isn’t spoilt for choice in terms of Brazilians at Arsenal right now. After all, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli are the only Brazilians on the books right now.

Unsurprisingly, Odegaard picked the attacker over the defender in this situation.

What’s been said?

Odegaard responded to the question about Brazilians.

“That is a very difficult one, but if I had to say one I would say Gabriel Martinelli, it is always nice to play with him, he’s moving a lot so it’s a dream to play with these sorts of players, they always run and it is easy to give them the ball,” Odegaard said.

Talented

Martinelli is quite clearly a talented player, but Arsenal doesn’t seem to be the best club for him to be at right now.

Sadly for the 20-year-old, the Gunners are overwhelmed with young talented wingers right now. Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka seem to be cemented as the first choices on the wings, and that’s meant that Martinelli has only been able to start four games in all competitions this season.

Odegaard says it’s a dream to play with Martinelli, but sadly, he’s not been able to play alongside him all that often since arriving in north London.
