The Ajax man has been linked with moves to Everton and Crystal Palace, but the bookies think Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are in the race too.

Popular bookmakers BETVICTOR have released odds on Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald’s next destination, and make Spurs and the Magpies joint third favourites in the race to sign him.

The 20-year-old Dutchman impressed in the Eredivisie last term, showcasing his wonderful flexibility by performing a variety of different roles, including centre-back, left-back and central midfield.

He already has three caps for the Holland national team under his belt, and has been garnering attention from all around Europe.

Reports emerged yesterday suggesting that Everton are trying to hijack Crystal Palace’s move for Riedewald, according to the Liverpool Echo.

And perhaps because of those reports, BETVICTOR have installed the Toffees as 2/1 favourites to obtain the 20-year-old’s signature, followed by the Eagles at 3/1.

Somewhat surprisingly though, given the lack of links, BETVICTOR list Tottenham and Newcastle at 6/1 to sign the Ajax man.

Riedewald has so much potential, and the maturity that he has displayed for someone so young during his fledgling career thus far prove that he could go a long way in the game.

He would represent a superb signing for whichever club win the race for his signature, but with so many parties lining up to take him from Ajax, it could very well be a long drawn out saga.
