Popular bookmakers BETVICTOR have installed the Swans as new favourites in the race to sign Potters ace Joe Allen, ahead of the Foxes and the Clarets.

The Welshman joined Stoke from Liverpool in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £13 million, and impressed for Mark Hughes’ men last term, scoring six goals in 36 Premier League outings.

The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the most important players at the BET365 Stadium, so a move away from the Potteries would come as somewhat of a shock.

BETVICTOR though, believe there is every chance that Allen will be plying his trade away from Stoke this season, listing his former club Swansea as the 2/1 favourites to sign him, ahead of Leicester and Burnley, who are both listed at 4/1.

The Wales international would be a superb signing for Paul Clement’s side, especially in light of Gylfi Sigurdsson’s recent exit from the Liberty Stadium.

He will surely not come cheap though, with four years still remaining on his current deal with Stoke, but with the £45 million that the Welsh side received for the sale of the Icelandic ace, they will surely have no problem in coming up with a package that would tempt the Potters into selling Allen.
