SkyBet heave released odds on who will become the next Birmingham City boss.
Following Gary Rowett’s shock sacking from his role as manager of Birmingham City, popular bookmakers SkyBet have installed Gianfranco Zola as the 7/4 favourite to take the reigns at St Andrews.
The decision from the Blues owners to part ways with Rowett came at a strange time, following their 2-1 win over Ipswich Town last night.

They are also in the fairly comfortable position of seventh in the Championship table – something that would have surely exceeded expectations from the start of the season.
SkyBet make recently departed England manager Sam Allardyce as the second favourite to take the hot-seat at St Andrews at 9/4, followed by Roy Hodgson and the recently retired Steven Gerrard at 6/1.

With Rowett being sacked after guiding his side to just one place outside the promotion play-off spots, whoever the next manager is will be under intense pressure to take the Blues inside the top six.
The Midlands outfit now face a crucial spell of fixtures over the new year, and the owners will surely want to get their new man in as soon as possible, in the hope of giving their side a boost throughout the busy Christmas period.
