West Bromwich Albion are looking for a new manager after sacking Alan Pardew.
West Bromwich Albion are in the market for a new manager having sacked boss Alan Pardew last week, following a torrid spell in charge for the ex-Crystal Palace chief.
Pardew won just three times as West Brom boss following his appointment in November, with the controversial replacement for Tony Pulis proving to be a failure.
The Baggies now sit 10 points adrift of Premier League safety and destined for relegation to the Championship, with the search now on for a manager who can guide the club back to the top flight.
Darren Moore is in interim charge, and oversaw the 1-1 draw with Swansea City on Saturday, but Mick McCarthy remains the favourite for the job with bookmakers, as seen on Oddschecker.
However, one name is now in at 4/1 for the job, as Everton first team coach Craig Sharespeare is one of the frontrunners for the job as he is considered for a return to The Hawthorns.
The 54-year-old, who previously managed Leicester City, had a lengthy spell with West Brom as a player, making more than 100 appearances for the Baggies before a one-game stint as their caretaker manager in 2006.
Shakespeare could now return to the club this summer as their new manager, with an Everton exit made all the more likely given question marks over Sam Allardyce’s future.
