The Manchester City man could be the ideal signing for West Bromwich Albion this summer.
Manchester City’s Fabian Delph in action
Popular bookmakers SkyBET have installed the Baggies as the new favourites to sign Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.
The 27-year-old has failed to establish himself at the Etihad, since making his £8 million switch from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015, and will surely be looking to leave at the end of this current campaign, in order to secure more regular first-team football.
He has made just four starts in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s men this term, but the left-footed midfielder still has a lot to offer at the highest level, especially if he is given a platform from which to showcase his talents on a more consistent basis.
And SkyBET believe Delph’s next destination could be the Hawthorns, installing the Black Country outfit as the new 5/4 favourites to win the race for his signature, ahead of Newcastle United and Celtic, who are both listed at 6/1.
Manchester City’s Fabian Delph and Kevin De Bruyne
The former Leeds United and Aston Villa man would be a great signing for West Brom, on paper at least, and would provide Tony Pulis with a greater pool of options from which to choose from in midfield.
The nine-capped England international would offer the Baggies more balance in midfield, and could form a superb partnership with Jake Livermore.
With Darren Fletcher on the wrong side of 33, adding Delph to the squad would provide a more youthful feel to the West Brom engine room, and Pulis should definitely make a strong push for him this summer.
