Swansea have emerged as a shock contender to sign Renato Sanches.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Bayern last season from Benfica, but has struggled to nail down a regular first team place under Carlo Ancelotti.

Last season, he managed only 17 Bundesliga games for the German giants, and the club is reportedly looking to offload him, either permanently or on a loan move.
Sanches is an established Portugal international and was an integral part of the side that won the European Championships in 2016.

He is looking for a move away from Bayern as well to get regular games under his belt. He has been linked with a move to Liverpool, but SkyBet believe Swansea City could an interesting destination for him, and are 6/4 favourites to sign him.
Paul Clement has money to spend following Gylfi Sigurdsson’s move to Everton, and can offer him regular football as well. However, Sanches probably will look to join a club that can offer him Champions League football.
