The Frenchman could be heading to Southampton or Newcastle United, according to the bookies.
Popular bookmakers SkyBET have released odds on Bacary Sagna’s next destination, following his release from Manchester City last month, listing both the Saints and Magpies as contenders.
The 34-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers since moving to England in 2007, and he still has a lot to offer at the very highest level.
His availability on a free transfer presents a whole host of clubs with the opportunity for a real coup, and there will surely be no shortage of potential suitors for his signature.

Both Crystal Palace and West Brom are believed to be two of the clubs interested in signing the former Arsenal star, according to L’Equipe, and perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly given the reports, SkyBET list them at 2/1 and 3/1 respectively in the race to sign the Frenchman.
It might come as a shock, however, to see Southampton listed at 5/2 and Newcastle at 5/1 to win the race for the right-back’s signature.
The south coast outfit could potentially be looking for a right sided defender to act as cover for Cedric Soares, who continues to be linked with an exit from St Mary’s.
The Toon are also in the market for a right-back, following Vurnon Anita’s release earlier this summer, so a move for an established defender of Sagna’s ilk would seem to make sense.
And whichever club wins the race to sign him will surely have earned themselves a real coup.
