Could Liverpool be a possible destination for Cesc Fabregas?

Popular bookmakers BetVictor have installed Liverpool as second favourites behind Bayern Munich in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The 30-year-old world class midfielder joined Chelsea in 2014, and made over 100 appearances for the Blues.

The Spaniard has a stellar career, winning two Premier League titles with the Blues, one FA Cup with Arsenal, one La Liga title with Barcelona, and FIFA World Cup with Spain.

Cesc Fabregas of Chelsea controls the ball during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Burnley at Stamford Bridge on August 12, 2017 in London, England.

Last season he made 29 appearances for the Blues, although most of them have come from the bench, with Antonio Conte preferring the partnership of Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante instead.

Despite the departure of Matic to Manchester United, Fabregas could still struggle to compete for regular starting place with summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko likely to challenge the Spaniard.

And BetVictor believe that Fabregas’s future could lie away from Stamford Bridge, making Liverpool 6/1 in the race to obtain his signature behind Bayern Munich at 5/1.

Fabregas is a pass-master who brings creativity in the middle of the park. He would bring a different quality to the side, and would be a terrific signing for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp would love to have a player of his quality in the side, but Chelsea could be reluctant to sell another key player to a direct rival club.
