Popular bookmakers SkyBET have installed the Villans as shock outsiders in the race to sign Toffees midfielder Gareth Barry this summer.
The 36-year-old midfielder has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers over the past two decades, racking up 628 league appearances during spells with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton.

He has also been a fantastic servant for his country, earning 53 international caps for England throughout his illustrious career.
Barry has a Premier League title and an FA Cup to his name, and has to go down as one of England’s most professional footballers, with the manner that he has conducted himself both on and off the pitch.
He has just 12 months remaining on his current deal at Goodison Park, however, and SkyBET believe that he could very well leave Merseyside this summer.
The bookies list West Brom as 8/11 favourites in the race to sign Barry, but somewhat surprisingly, they make his former club Aston Villa second favourites at 8/1.
The Everton star would be an absolutely superb acquisition for the west Midlands outfit, and if Steve Bruce manages to persuade him into moving to Villa Park, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Villa, as they look to earn promotion back to the Premier League.
