Liverpool’s Danny Ings
Could Danny Ings make a shock move away from Liverpool to Scottish side Rangers?
According to bookies SkyBet, it is a strong possibility with a market opened overnight on Ings’ future, and Rangers considered to be the only club in the running.
While Ings is 1/6 on to stay at Liverpool, odds are as as short as 7/2 on him signing for Rangers.
West Ham’s Reece Burke in action with Burnley’s Danny Ings
Ings was signed by Liverpool from Burnley a year ago by Brendan Rodgers, currently the boss of Celtic.
The cost of the deal is yet to be determined via long running tribunal, having left Burnley on a ‘free’, only for them to be due compensation as he was under 23 and had come through their academy.
Ings made a positive start at Liverpool and looked their most lively striker early on last season with Daniel Sturridge out injured, only to see his season cut short in October by a serious knee injury.
He had netted three goals in eight appearances before his injury, five games of which had been starts.

He had impressed for Burnley the previous season but left after they were relegated.
Ings made his comeback on the last day of the season, playing for the first time under Jurgen Klopp as a substitute for 26 minutes against West Brom.
Liverpool’s Danny Ings has a shot at goal
The link with Rangers is a peculiar one, as Ings is surely determined to be a success at Liverpool, while it is questionable whether the Gers could afford him.
If he did make it to Ibrox he would be a marquee signing and be potentially prolific up front, but short of Jurgen Klopp telling him he is not in his plans, its a deal which is hard to see happening.
