Manchester United’s odds on signing the Manchester City star have shortened dramatically.

Popular bookmakers SkyBET have installed Manchester United as the new 4/1 third favourites in the race to sign Manchester City-owned Joe Hart.
The England international is currently spending the season on loan in Italy with Torino, and his exile from the Etihad has led to many of Europe’s biggest clubs forming a not-so-orderly queue for his signature.
He is undoubtedly still one of the best goalkeepers in the game, which makes Pep Guardiola’s decision to jettison him all the more baffling.
And SkyBET have slashed the odds on United making what would be a dramatic move for the 29-year-old, cutting them into 4/1, although they do still list Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton as 2/1 favourites.
A move to Old Trafford for Hart would seem to make little sense, however, what with the brilliant David de Gea currently occupying the number one shirt.
If the Spaniard’s exit were to be sanctioned by Jose Mourinho in the summer though, there may very well be an opening for Hart to cross the divide, and make what would be one of the most ground-breaking transfers in recent history.
