Hull City are the latest club to be linked with a move for Middlesbrough’s striker.

Popular bookmakers SkyBet have slashed the odds on Jordan Rhodes moving to Hull City in January, and have installed them as 3/1 joint second favourites in the race to sign the striker.

The Tigers are in desperate need of more firepower in forward areas, with their return of 17 goals in 20 games the joint lowest in the division.

They currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League table, and a punt on Rhodes would seem to make sense for the Humberside outfit.

The 26-year-old Scotland international has a goalscoring record that can be matched by few in the game, with his impressive tally of 172 goals in 340 league appearances throughout his career serving as evidence of his ability.

SkyBet make Sheffield Wednesday the 6/4 favourites to sign Rhodes, however, ahead of the Tigers and Derby County at 3/1.

If Hull are to have any chance of avoiding relegation, they must sign a proven striker in January, and looking around the market at potentially available players, there doesn’t seem to be too many better options at the moment than Rhodes.
