The Chelsea legend could move to Arsenal in the summer, according to bookmakers.
Chelsea’s John Terry
Popular bookmakers William Hill have slashed the odds on John Terry joining Arsenal from 33/1 into 5/1, after a flurry of recent bets backing the 36-year-old to make the switch across London.
The former England international announced earlier this week that he will be leaving Chelsea in the summer, after spending 20 years with the club he joined as a 16-year-old.
Bournemouth still seem to be the overwhelming favourites to win the race for Terry’s signature, with some bookmakers, including SkyBET, listing the Cherries as short as 13/8.
However, William Hill have dramatically slashed the odds on the four-time Premier League winner making what would be a hugely controversial switch from the Blues to the Gunners this summer, listing them at 5/1.
And how Arsene Wenger could do with a player like Terry amongst his ranks. He personifies everything that Arsenal currently lack, and his leadership qualities would undoubtedly improve the Gunners as a team.
Whether the 78-capped former England international would consider a move to one of Chelsea’s main rivals though remains to be seen.
