Tottenham Hotspur are into second favourites to sign Celtic’s Moussa Dembele behind Chelsea.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele scores their third goal
Odds have been cut on Tottenham Hotspur signing Celtic forward Moussa Dembele, with SkyBet pricing them as second favourites.
Dembele has scored at a prolific rate for Celtic this season, netting 17 league goals and three in the Champions League.
The Telegraph linked Dembele with a £40 million move to Chelsea at the end of the transfer window, and the Blues remain 2/1 favourites to sign the forward.
Tottenham have seen their price fall to 7/1, making them now second favourites ahead of Liverpool.
Spurs were strongly linked with a deal for Dembele last season, but talks with Fulham broke down.
Celtic then signed him when his contract expired, a deal which looks like the best bargain of the summer.
It would be unlikely that Tottenham would escalate their bidding now to pay £40 million, so a move would be dependent on Celtic dropping their asking price, and or Dembele pushing for a move.
He is not short of suitors, with Liverpool following Spurs with the bookies at 8/1 and Arsenal at 12/1.
