West Ham United have been linked with Stoke City’s own winger, Marko Arnautovic.

The Telegraph reports that West Ham United have made a move for Marko Arnautovic, after the winger handed in a transfer request at Stoke City.

But based on Sky Bet’s latest odds, another transfer could be on the cards between the two clubs this summer.

£10 million January recruit Robert Snodgrass has been linked with a swift West Ham exit after struggling to make an impression in east London, and Stoke are now as short as 5/1 to sign the winger.

The Potters were nowhere to be seen prior to those Arnautovic reports surfacing, but are now third favourites for Snodgrass’s signature – behind Sheffield Wednesday [2/1] and Brighton & Hove Albion [4/1], and ahead of Sunderland [8/1].

The Stoke Sentinel reports that West Ham would need to break their £20.5 million club-record transfer ‘and then some’ to prise Arnautovic from the Bet365 Stadium. But the inclusion of Snodgrass in any deal for the Austrian could help to bring the cost down.

The 29-year-old impressed for Hull City during the first half of last season, scoring seven goals and creating three in 20 Premier League outings – though it remains to be seen whether Stoke would indeed be keen.

Would Stoke accept West Ham’s Snodgrass as makeweight in Arnautovic deal?
