Queens Park Rangers were hammered 3-0 by Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has taken to Twitter to react to Saturday’s 3-0 defeat Ipswich Town.
The R’s had enjoyed a superb start to life under Ian Holloway last weekend, as they beat Norwich City 2-1 at Loftus Road in Holloway’s first game since returning as QPR manager following Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s exit.

This weekend, QPR were on the road as they travelled to take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road – and the game served to show just how much work Holloway has to do with this QPR team.
Grant Ward gave the Tractor Boys the lead on 13 minutes, and goals from Luke Varney and Tom Lawrence in the second half handed Mick McCarthy’s men all three points.

The result leaves QPR in 15th place in the Championship table, six points off the play-offs and five points clear of the relegation zone, with Holloway no doubt looking towards the top six rather than over his shoulder.
Saturday afternoon was tough for the new QPR boss though, especially as his side dominated the ball with 58% of possession, but they couldn’t take their chances when they came, whereas Ipswich were clinical with theirs.

After the final whistle, QPR chairman Tony Fernandes took to Twitter, and he seemed upbeat despite the result, as he suggested that he was really pleased with how QPR played at Portman Road.
Fernandes noted that it was an ‘odd game’, as despite dominating possession, Ipswich’s second goal killed off the game, before urging the QPR players to take the positives and learn from mistakes.
