Mark Wilson has said that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou will try to sign Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
The former Celtic defender has told The Herald that it is “obvious” that new Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou will make a move for Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi.
Postecoglou recently left Scottish Premiership club Celtic to take charge of Premier League outfit Tottenham.
The Sun have reported that Tottenham are keen on signing Japan international forward Kyogo and are willing to pay £30 million in transfer fees for him.
Wilson said: “I wouldn’t like to see any of them going out the door. I believe they give Celtic the best chance of retaining the title against a Rangers that, in my opinion, is definitely going to be better than we’ve seen. It also gives them the best opportunity in the Champions League.
“So, none of them I would like to see leaving. But who could I see him coming for? The obvious one is Kyogo.
“Kyogo was brought in and was the catalyst for everything that happened at Celtic. Ange Postecoglou made everybody aware of that, Kyogo was the signing that kicked everything off.
“Even when you hear some of the players talking about Kyogo; the way he plays and the character he is, he really does set the tone for a Postecoglou team. You can understand why he would look at him.”

Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
We believe that the Scottish Premiership champions would not be able to turn down a big offer from Spurs for the 28-year-old.
And the player himself would be tempted to join a club as big as Tottenham who regularly challenge for the Premier League top four.
Now, the big question would be whether Kyogo would get to play regularly for Spurs.
Harry Kane is the number one striker at Tottenham, and that is not going to change unless he leaves this summer.
Richarlison and Son Heung-min are the other two main forwards in the Tottenham team.
Kyogo scored 27 goals and gave two assists in 31 Scottish Premiership starts for Celtic this past season.
