West Ham United fans have been reacting to Aaron Cresswell’s omission from the latest England squad with Manchester United outcast Luke Shaw preferred.
Cresswell misses out England squad despite making his debut against Spain last time out
The Hammers left-back has been one of the best in his position in the Premier League over the last two seasons.
Injury has impacted his performances this term and made it difficult for the ex-Liverpool youth player to impress Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
He did receive a call-up in the last squad named by Southgate, though, and made his debut against Spain.
The former Ipswich Town man had what was probably his worst game in a West Ham shirt in the 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth last time out.
Whether that performance had any bearing on Southgate’s final decision over his squad is not known.
The Three Lions face Germany away in a friendly on March 22 before a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley on March 26.

But one thing is for sure, West Ham fans are not happy at Cresswell’s omission after seeing Manchester United outcast Luke Shaw – who has played just eight times under Jose Mourinho this season – called up instead.
Supporters took to Twitter in their droves to voice their frustration with the decision, and many of them did not hold back with one fan describing it as ‘obscene’.
