Tottenham Hotstpur fans celebrate during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City at Wembley Stadium on December 9, 2017 in London, England.

Tottenham Hotspur have gone from definite title challengers to top-four hopefuls in the space of two months. So could there be more activity than was previously expected at Wembley in January?

We spoke to three Spurs fans to find out which players could be on their way…

Do Tottenham need to sell to buy in January?

No, although it would certainly free up funds.

In what positions are they over-stocked?

None. Certain squad player just aren’t contributing enough, such as [Georges-Kevin] N’Koudou, [Fernando] Llorente and [Moussa] Sissoko.

Which player do you most fear losing in January?

Harry Kane (though it won’t happen).

Which player would you most like to see the back of?

Danny Rose.

Which players do you expect to leave in January?

None.

Do Tottenham need to sell to buy in January?

There is probably room for one player, after that there needs to be vacancies to make registration quotas. Financially I think the club will spend big if it finds the right player.

In what positions are they over-stocked?

I wouldn’t say we’re overstocked anywhere.

Which player do you most fear losing in January?

Rose is the likely one – though we’ve coped reasonably well in the near 12 months since he has been fit and first choice. He’s the best left-back in the league but I expect him to do as [Kyle] Walker and jump ship to a top four rival, which is really disappointing.

Which player would you most like to see the back of?

Moussa Sissoko – he’s much improved this season, and almost passable as an option, but I’d rather we sold and looked at alternatives.

Which players do you expect to leave in January?

Rose, sadly.

Do Tottenham need to sell to buy in January?

We don’t need to sell to buy. But usually we do.

In what positions are they over-stocked?

We seem to have a lot of attacking midfielders, the only problem is [Christian] Eriksen and [Dele] Alli are not in the form they need to be for us to excel this season. With [Erik] Lamela coming back there will be a lot of pressure on those two to start delivering.

Which player do you most fear losing in January?

Toby Aldeweireld would be a disaster to lose! Danny Rose could shoot off, which is worrying unless Luke Shaw comes the other way.

Which player would you most like to see the back of?

Right now I don’t want to see anyone leave the current set up as we don’t have the depth!

Which players do you expect to leave in January?

Danny Rose is the most likely to go.
