Ruben Neves has been important in Wolverhampton Wanderers getting promoted to the Premier League from the Championship.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno has told The Express & Star that Ruben Neves can still improve.
Neves, who joined Wolves from FC Porto in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £15.8 million, is one of the best players in the Championship.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been a key figure in Wolves’ successful quest to gain automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Wolves manager Nuno has said that the Portugal international can still improve, which is certainly going to make the teams in the Premier League next season sit up and take notice.
Nuno told The Express & Star: “I think Neves still has a lot to improve. Not only him but all the squad.
“The window of growing for a player never finishes. There’s always something to improve if he’s aged 20, 25, 30, it doesn’t matter.”
Premier League success
Neves is a brilliant and hugely talented young player, and Nuno’s comments will strike fear into the hearts of other teams in the Premier League next season.
Wolves were head and shoulders above the rest of the sides in the Championship this campaign, and the Wanderers have grand plans for the future.
The Wanderers could well make further investments in the squad, and if Neves, – who is already a superb footballer – continues to improve and develop, then it is going to be tough for quite a few teams in the English top flight next season to keep up with Wolves.
