The Wolves boss wasn’t too happy despite the FA Cup fourth-round replay win and admits his players have a lot to work on.

Despite progressing to the fifth round of the FA Cup, Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has publicly admitted he was not happy with his team for their performance against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night.
The Shrews sealed a fourth-round replay by drawing 2-2 in the original tie last month, Wolves needing an injury-time equaliser not to be knocked out, and at Molineux, they once again breached their opponents back line twice.
Ivan Cavaleiro struck to seal a 3-2 replay win and book a fifth-round trip to Bristol City after Matt Doherty’s first-half double, the defender having also scored the injury-time leveller in the last-gasp draw at the New Meadow in January.
There were nerves among the home fans though as Town players James Bolton and Josh Laurent had put the Shrews 2-1 ahead in the first half before Wolves recovered, and at full time, Nuno could barely contain his bemusement at what his players had served up.

“I’m not happy with the performance but happy because we got to the fifth round,” the Portuguese is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying. “This is the most important (aspect) but we have to look at the game and see it was not one of the best performances. Everybody is aware of that.”
Although Nuno acknowledged that there are things in football which are out of a team’s control, he admitted there are many things that his players are needing to improve on and will be working on things ahead of Monday’s Premier League game against Newcastle United.
“It’s job done. Football has these things and you can’t always control them, you have to react to them. There are a lot of things we have to work on on the training ground and get better at.”
