Wolves lost 2-0 to the Terriers in November’s Premier League game at Molineux.

On Tuesday night, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be hoping to avenge November’s lacklustre 2-0 loss against Huddersfield Town when they head to the John Smith’s Stadium to face the Terriers in their Premier League reverse fixture.
Nuno Espirito Santo famously dubbed Wolves’ performance against Huddersfield at Molineux as “probably one of the worst performances we have had” after an Aaron Mooy brace, a goal in each half, ensured the Terriers left the West Midlands with all three points.
That defeat meant that Wolves had collected just one points from their previous 15 available, and was their worst sequence of results under the Portuguese (BBC Sport), leading to alarm bells starting to ring among some sections of the fanbase.
Since then, however, the team has bounced back in style and is now comfortably in the top half of the Premier League table, with some fans even dreaming of Europe, while a place in the FA Cup semi-finals is up for grabs.

Speaking ahead of the game, Nuno told the official Wolves website: “We bounced back, we reacted. How we did it is by keeping our belief, the boys worked harder than ever to go out and since then the idea is to maintain the high standards and keep improving, looking for consistency in our performances.
“What is important is to realise the moment you’re at. At the same time, when you have bad moments you must react. When you are doing OK you have to keep on doing it. You cannot relax or have any complacency at all, you have to push yourselves even more.”
Huddersfield sit bottom of the table, a massive 14 points from safety, and having won just two league games all season, hopes of avoiding a drop to the Championship for them are diminishing.
