Wolves star Diogo Jota could be set to miss his side’s clash with Liverpool tomorrow night, after suffering a hamstring strain during last weekend’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth at Molineux.

The former Atletico Madrid forward has played a key role for the Black Country outfit this season, chalking up two goals and an assist, but it is his all around play and link-up work that has been most impressive.

Losing him for any period of time will certainly be a blow for Wolves, and Nuno Espirito Santo will be praying that he is passed fit for tomorrow’s clash with Liverpool.

Wolves currently sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, just one point adrift of sixth placed Manchester United, and there is genuine optimism at Molineux that Nuno’s men will finish inside the top seven this season.

Should the Black Country outfit manage to gain a positive result against the league leaders tomorrow, they will be in great shape heading into Christmas.

And their hopes of dong just that will be heavily dependant on whether Jota is available for selection.
