Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Ryan Giles was one of the stars of Nuno’s side’s pre-season.

Giles was one of Wolves’ stand out performers over pre-season, with the youngster regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Nuno’s squad.
The 18-year-old has not been handed a chance in the senior squad to date this term.
However, with Wolves left-wing back Jonny Castro suffering an injury recently, Giles has been promoted up the pecking order.
Giles is now just one place away from starting for Wolves, with Ruben Vianagre currently first choice in the left-back birth.
Nuno said: ”We have a back-up for Vinagre in Ryan Giles who spent pre-season with us and is playing every week in the U23s based on our shape. If something happens we still have someone and that goes all the way through the U18s and so on.”

Vinagre actually wasn’t particularly impressive in his last match for Wolves, when Nuno’s side were beaten 2-0 by Huddersfield Town.
Vinagre’s shaky performance may have left Nuno asking questions whether now would be the right time to throw in Giles, in an attempt to freshen things up for his side.
Wolves are next in action on Friday evening, when they take on Cardiff City in what already looks like a hugely important match for both sides.
