Tottenham Hotspur will look to get their season back on track when they host Mura in the Europa Conference League, and boss Nuno Espirito Santo should unleash Dane Scarlett.
Spurs welcome Slovenian side Mura to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the back of four games without a win in regular time. Nuno needed penalties to overcome Wolves in the Carabao Cup, with no wins in 90-minutes since beating Watford last month.
Tottenham’s group stage started with a 2-2 draw at Stade Rennes, while Mura lost 2-0 at home to Vitesse Arnhem. Scarlett played the final 36-minutes at Roazhon Park and worked hard in search of a winner. But a lack of service into the 17-year-old meant few chances.

Nuno has given Scarlett scarce opportunities to make an impression in competitive games for Tottenham since taking charge this summer. He is yet to play a second in the Premier League after five games on the bench. The forward was also an unused sub in the EFL Cup.
Tottenham chances few and far between for Scarlett so far
Scarlett’s sole chances to standout have come in Spurs’ Europa Conference League ties. Making his first career senior start in their qualifying round first-leg against Pacos de Ferrira on August 19. Before replacing Harry Kane against Rennes after the striker’s tepid efforts.
Nuno will be loath to go a full calendar month without taking a win in regular time over six games. So, the Tottenham boss should look to unleash Scarlett and give the teenager a real chance to impress against Mura.
Scarlett left a mark on Nuno over Tottenham’s pre-season fixtures, per football.london. But his efforts over the summer are yet to reap much reward. Despite scoring against Leyton Orient and featuring against Colchester, MK Dons, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho a huge believer in Spurs product
Former Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho is also a huge believer in Scarlett’s potential. He wrote in a column for The Times this July how the London-born striker is set for the top.
“I know he’s still very young, just 17, and it is probably too early for the next World Cup, but Tottenham Hotspur have a striker in Dane Scarlett, who, if everything goes well, is going to be phenomenal. For England, there is lots of promise.”
