It may be time for Wolverhampton Wanderers to give Will Norris a chance in the league, after John Ruddy’s worrying run of form of late.

Ruddy had been secured in the opening stages of the season, but errors have started to creep into his game more recently.

The goalkeeper admitted earlier this week that he hadn’t been at his best recently, and his mood is unlikely to have improved after his display last night.

John Ruddy of Norwich shouts instructions during the Sky Bet Championship match between Norwich City and Brighton & Hove Albion at Carrow Road on April 21, 2017 in Norwich, England.

Ruddy should have saved the long-range effort from Norwich striker Nelson Oliveira, which ended up being the leveller.

Wolves could only draw 2-2 with Norwich last night, in what was a frustrating evening for Nuno’s side.

And although Wolves do not need to panic, replacing Ruddy may be best for all parties.

Not only will it give Ruddy a chance to regain some confidence, but it is also an ideal time to test Norris.

Norris was brought to Molineux from Cambridge United last summer, and his initial appearances have all been highly impressive.

The 24-year-old has only featured in cup competition so far, but he has kept five clean sheets in six appearances.

And Nuno should now test Norris out in the league, to see if he has what it takes to become Wolves’ number one.
