Wolverhampton Wanderers sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table after last night’s win over Leeds United.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s superb 3-0 away win against Leeds United last night, and explained how he is constantly pushing his players to achieve the impossible – perfection, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Black Country outfit stretched their lead over Cardiff City at the top to six points, and are 10 points clear of third placed Aston Villa, with just 11 games remaining before the end of the season.
Nuno’s side found themselves to be the target of some criticism before last night’s game at Elland Road, having taken just two points from their previous three outings, but their comfortable 3-0 win in west Yorkshire put to bed any talk of Wolves’ decline.
Nuno spoke to reporters after his side’s superb display against Leeds, and shared how he is constantly trying to extract the absolute best from his players, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“It’s all about work to try to achieve something that we know is impossible, perfection – it doesn’t exist. We want to achieve and prove to ourselves that we know we are good. We want to keep going and keep getting better – the boys work really, really hard.”
Next up for Wolves is a trip to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Saturday evening, and nothing less than a win will do for Nuno’s men, as they look to hammer home their advantage at the top of the table.
