Wolverhampton Wanderers fought back to earn a point against Manchester United last night.
Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters after his side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United last night, and outlined what disappointed him about their display in the first-half, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Black Country outfit seemed like a totally different side in the second-half against United, and they were good value for the draw at the end of the game.
Ruben Neves scored an absolute wonder-goal, but it was Wolves’ all-round display after the break that really caught the eye.
They worked hard, kept the football well, and closed down United in packs as and when they needed to do so.
Nuno highlighted where his team need to improve, however, when speaking to reporters after the game, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“They were pressing very high and didn’t allow us to go out. They didn’t create us many problems, but the first time they did they were clinical. It was a fantastic goal. We had many problems and then I think the moment we started playing a bit more in the space we controlled the game.”
Wolves will be looking to crack the top six this season, and despite taking just two points from their opening two games, they seem to be well capable of doing just that.
Next up for Nuno’s men is a home game against Burnley on Sunday.
