The Wolverhampton Wanderers defender is still yet to play so far this season.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke exclusively to the Express & Star in the aftermath of his side’s 2-0 win away at Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night, and responded when asked whether club captain Danny Batth features in his plans.
The 27-year-old is still yet to feature for Wolves this season, and after Nuno made a plethora of new signings during the summer transfer window, questions are already being asked as to whether the defender will have a part to play for the Portuguese’s side this term.
The Black Country outfit do have an incredibly strong squad, so Batth will have his work cut-out, if he is to force his way back into Nuno’s plans.
The Wolves boss spoke to reporters after his side’s win over Wednesday last night, and responded when asked whether the 27-year-old will get a chance to prove himself this season, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“That’s a decision. Danny is the captain of the club, I already spoke with him. He didn’t come today…options. We have to make decisions. Sometimes they are not so happy to take (them) but we have to make them. Leander had his first game, Kortney played, Coady, Bennett on the bench, Boly at home. Decisions. Every player of Wolves including the under-23s and under-18s are inside my plans.”
Next up for Wolves is a trip to West Ham on Saturday, and whichever team Nuno chooses will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of winning the game.
