Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are expecting a lot of their team this season.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, and offered high words of praise for his squad of players, suggesting that there is no telling just much they can go on to achieve.
The Black Country outfit romped away with the Championship title last season, and have made a decent start to life in the Premier League, taking five points from their opening four games.
Nuno has built a wonderful squad of players at Molineux, and many fans and pundits alike are tipping Wolves to go and and secure a top 10 finish in the Premier League table this season.
Games like the one they lost at Leicester two weeks ago would have served as a real wake-up call for the Wolves players, though, as to just how difficult the Premier League can be.
Nuno spoke to the Express & Star, and suggested that there is no limit as to what his side can achieve:
“We will never know the full potential of this team. The important thing is that we achieve the (high) standards of how we (want to) compete. There is no perfection, there is no limit (to our potential), you never know. Sometimes you improve, sometimes you don’t and you keep on working. That’s our philosophy. Our tool is to play and work. This team has character, the boys have this character, the club has this character. We want to achieve things and you have to believe to do so.”
Next up for Wolves is a home game against Burnley next weekend, and a win would take them onto eight points after five games played, and that really would be a solid start to life in the top flight.
