Wolverhampton Wanderers have been magnificent this season.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the media after his side’s comfortable 2-0 home win against Birmingham City yesterday, and opened up on how he relaxed his approach to to his post-game team-talk for the first time this season, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit’s promotion back to the Premier League was secured on Saturday, after Fulham failed to beat Brentford, and their sights will now be set on eclipsing the 100 point mark, and winning the Championship title.
Wolves have been superb this season from the very first game, and Nuno deserves great credit for the manner in which he has instilled a winning mentality into a group of players who desperately underperformed last term.
The Portuguese has maintained incredibly high standards all season long, but he told reporters how he relaxed that stance in the dressing room after yesterday’s win over Blues, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“It’s time to celebrate,” he said. “I never allowed beer in the dressing room, first time. But it was the first time they asked for it!”
Despite Nuno showing his human side yesterday, he will undoubtedly insist that his players do not let up one little bit during the last three games of the season.
They are still yet to win the Championship title, and until they have done that, it will be very much business as usual for Nuno and Wolves.
