Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has called on his side to improve their home form ahead of back-to-back games at Molineux, according to the Express and Star.

The Championship leaders can go four points clear at the top of the table with victory over visiting Leeds United tonight, and then welcome Bolton Wanderers to the West Midlands on Saturday.

Wolves have record four wins on the bounce at Molineux, but Espirito Santo has not been entirely happy with the performances and wants his players to up their game to give back to the fans.

He is quoted by the Express and Star as saying: “I think in terms of performances we’ve been doing quite well away from home, but there were a couple of games at Molineux where we could and should do better. Everything together, we have to improve.

“We know Molineux is going to be full and more Wolves than Leeds supporters so it’s good for us. We’re thankful for the support the fans have been giving us and we have to give back with good performances.”

Only Cardiff City and Sheffield United have collected more points at home than Wolves this season, and three points against Leeds this evening would see Wanderers boas the best home record in the Championship.

Cardiff and Bristol City are the only two teams who have left Molineux with anything this campaign, so clearly Espirito Santo is setting high standards for his players as they chase promotion to the Premier League.

There is always room for improvement, but Wolves fans will be very happy with what they are seeing already.
