The top two are all set to square off against each other on Friday night, in a game where the outcome will have a huge bearing on the destination of the Championship title.

Nuno spoke to reporters after last night’s draw with Hull, and highlighted his side’s exertions against Middlesbrough on Friday as a reason why his side were not up to scratch against Nigel Adkins’ men, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“A draw shows we wanted to react and prove our character, but it wasn’t a good performance. You just have to look what happened at Middlesbrough, that’s a big aspect of today. Being with 10 men then nine men, of course today reflects on that. I don’t say tiredness but some ‘rush’ on the decision making that creates some of the mistakes.”

Wolves have been excellent this season when bouncing back from disappointing results, although there have not been too many of them.

A win at Cardiff on Friday would all but wrap up the Championship title, and Nuno will ensue that his side are ready for the challenge that will no doubt be presented by the Bluebirds.
